About the congress
The 8th National Cycling Congress will be hosted by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, the Hesse Ministry for Economics, Energy, Transport and Housing (HMWEVW) and the city of Frankfurt am Main. Germany’s largest and most significant cycling congress will take place on 20 and 21 June 2023, for the first time at the same time and in the same place as EUROBIKE, the world’s leading trade fair for the bicycle industry.
The National Cycling Congress was initiated by the Federal Ministry of Transport in 2009. It takes place every other year at varying locations. Experts from different planning sectors and levels, policymakers, academia and industry will share their visions and address key issues there.
The congress is particularly addressed to those professionals who are designing and planning cycle traffic infrastructure.
The National Cycling Congress is an event for the cycling expert community. It is open to public sector entities, private-sector corporations and associations as well as individuals whose field of work is cycling, transport and mobility or any other field closely linked to cycling.
